Brazilian stretch mark camouflage creates a natural looking result by depositing natural pigments into the scar (yes scar). A stretch mark is a type of scarring that results from a rapid change in collagen and elastin. Through camouflage dermopigmentation, the practitioner matches the clients' skin tone to a color on The Fitzpatrick Scale. The stretch mark can become less visible as they blend with the color of the surrounding skin. (Inkless Lightening may be needed first).
Inkless stretch mark lightening, just like scar inkless lightening, integrates the use of organic oils, vitamins, and minerals with dermopigmentation principles. Stretch marks undergo a process of cell turnover by depositing medical-grade vitamins and minerals into the skin, promoting the reconstruction of collagen. If the stretch marks are dark/textured, the practitioner may suggest this method first in order to encourage the pigment to release. (Dark stretch marks cannot be camouflaged over).
Stretch marks must be at least 4 months old.
In the top photo, evidence of thick dark stretch marks are present towards the upper left quadrant of her thigh. The lower quadrants of her thigh illustrate translucent scarring. A combo approach of inkless and camouflage were used to blend her stretch marks. These results are from 1 session.
